What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer chips stop communicating correctly or suffer a physical electronic breakdown. The most common reason is general wear and tear of the electrical components, but it can also be triggered by a sudden power surge or moisture getting into the control box.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
