NTC 1 short circuit
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control board receives a signal that the flow temperature sensor has failed internally or has a damaged connection. The most common reason is that the sensor has developed an electrical short circuit over time, or moisture has compromised the wiring harness, leading to an incorrect reading that forces the system to stop for safety.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
