What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main control board suffers a hardware failure, meaning the 'brain' of the unit can no longer process data or send signals to other parts. It is usually caused by electrical components wearing out over time or a sudden power surge damaging the delicate circuitry. Once this happens, the boiler shuts down immediately as it can no longer guarantee safe operation.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
