Technical description
Failure of internal communication bus
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the electronic components inside the boiler lose the ability to send signals to one another, effectively cutting off the unit's 'nervous system'. The most common reason is a physical failure of the main printed circuit board or a loose connection in the internal wiring caused by years of heat expansion and vibration.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
