Technical description
Gas valve error
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control board detects an electrical mismatch or a physical failure within the gas valve assembly. It typically happens because the valve can no longer open or close safely, or the ignition electrode is failing to confirm that a flame has been lit. To ensure your safety, the system automatically shuts down to prevent gas from flowing incorrectly.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
