What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's main control centre suffers an internal electronic failure or a breakdown in communication with its sensors. The most common reason is general wear and tear of the electrical components on the circuit board, or occasionally a power surge that has damaged the delicate circuitry.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
