What causes this fault?
This code is triggered by an internal countdown timer set during the boiler's last inspection. It occurs automatically once 12 months have passed or a pre-set number of burner hours has been reached. It is not caused by a mechanical failure, but rather a digital prompt to ensure the appliance remains within its warranty requirements.
This reminder is often noticed in autumn when homeowners turn their heating back on for the first time, though it technically triggers exactly one year after the previous service.
