Technical description

Inverter Error

What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the system's brain and the high-power motor that drives the heating process stop talking to each other. It is usually caused by an internal electrical failure on the inverter board or a loose wiring connection that prevents the system from regulating its power levels safely.

This fault can be more prevalent during summer or during sudden heatwaves, as the inverter components are under higher thermal stress when the unit is working hard to provide cooling or high-temperature hot water.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
