Technical description
Gas valve error
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control board sends a signal to the gas valve to open or close, but it does not receive the expected electrical feedback. It is usually caused by a mechanical failure within the valve itself or a communication breakdown on the main circuit board. Because the boiler cannot confirm it can safely control the flow of gas, it shuts down immediately to ensure your safety.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
