What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when there is a breakdown in the digital 'conversation' between the boiler's main control board and its other electronic components. It is usually caused by a loose connection in the internal wiring, moisture affecting the circuits, or the old age of the main computer board itself.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
