What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer chips can no longer talk to each other or process basic commands. The most common reason is that the electronic components on the main control board have worn out or been damaged by a power surge, causing a total communication breakdown.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
