Technical description

Fault:Fuelvalveactuation Thegasvalveassemblycannotbeactuated – Cableharnesssupplylinetothegasvalveassemblyisdefective (shorttoearth,shortcircuit) – Gasvalveassemblydefective – PCBdefective

What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's main internal computer loses the ability to safely control the flow of gas. It is usually caused by a physical electronic failure within the gas valve or a loose connection in the wiring that prevents signals from reaching the burner. Because the system can no longer guarantee the valve will open or close correctly, it shuts down immediately as a safety precaution.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
