What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer lacks the specific identity settings required to operate the hardware safely. It is usually caused by a component failure on the control board or occurs immediately after a repair if the new parts haven't been configured with the correct plug-in coding chips.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
