Technical description
Intermittent combustion value caused by a possible error with electrode position or electrical connection stability.
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer receives an unstable signal from the flame, making it unsure if it is safe to keep burning gas. The most common reasons are a loose electrical wire connected to the burner or a buildup of carbon on the sensors that monitor the flame. Over time, these components can also shift out of their precise positions, preventing them from detecting the heat correctly.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
