Technical description

The burner control unit is faulty

What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the internal electronic processor responsible for managing the gas burner fails a critical self-test. The most common reason is age-related wear or a component failure on the control board, which prevents the boiler from safely confirming that a flame is present or that the gas valve is operating correctly.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
